Union Minister for Power and New & Renewable Energy laid the foundation stone of Regional testing laboratory of Central Power Research Institute (CPRI) at Nashik, Maharashtra.

About:

Status: CPRI is an Autonomous body under Ministry of Power, Govt of India.
Established in: 1960.
Mandate:
- Undertaking applied Research in electrical engineering.
- Functioning as an Independent National Testing and Certification authority for electrical equipment.
HQ: The Institute has its Head Office & major laboratories at Bangalore.
