KOLKATA FLOOD FORECASTING SYSTEM

India’s first flood forecasting and early-warning system has been launched in Kolkata.

About:

This was launched by Kolkata Municipal Corporation, with the support of the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
It will provide real-time data on rainfall intensity, temperature, air quality and other climate-related parameters.
This is expected to help policy-makers make informed decisions during disasters.
