We are going to hold classes (in addition to the earlier Economics Optional Classes) to assist the students interested in writing the Indian Economic Service (IES) Examination held by UPSC every year. The classes will be taken by Mr Shyam Sunder, Senior Faculty Member of Economics (both for GS Economics and Economics Optional) at Vajiram and Ravi, an alumnus of Delhi School of Economics. He himself qualified for the IES Exam held by UPSC in 2007 with 10th Rank.
These classes can be attended in both Offline and Online modes for the students who had joined the Economics Optional Classes of the institute. However, the students who have completed (or are pursuing) their Post Graduation in Economics/Business Economics/Applied Economics can also join the course ONLY IN OFFLINE MODE after providing the required documents. NO FEES WILL BE CHARGED FROM ANY STUDENT ATTENDING THESE CLASSES.
The classes will be conducted for around two weeks and expect the students to have an understanding of the Economics Optional Syllabus. The parts of the syllabus overlapping between UPSC CSE Economics Optional and IES exams will NOT be covered. Only the additional materials required for the IES exam will be covered.
