Union Government has proposed to set up a committee to reform the IIT-JEE (Advanced) in the aftermath of inadequate number of candidates qualifying the entrance test this year.

The 5-member committee is to be headed by IIT-Madras director.
The proposal is on the agenda of the IIT Council, the highest decision-making body of all the IITs, which is scheduled to meet on August 21.
