In Jharkhand, over 1 lakh youths have been given jobs in private sector during the Global Skill Summit 2019 in Ranchi.
About:
This was Jharkhand’s first ever Global Skill Summit.
Objective: To provide a global platform for the job-creators and the policy-makers in the Government and private sector, and to celebrate the skilling and placements of skilled youths.
Organizers: PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI), is the industry partner in the summit.
Key highlights of the summit:
Diplomats and representatives from as many as 17 nations participated in the summit.
Over 1 lakh youths were given jobs in private sector during the Summit. With this, Jharkhand succeeded in getting included in ‘Limca Book of Records’ for highest number of placements offers to its youth in a single day.
Also, 15 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were signed with various national and international companies working in skill sector.
