The Government constituted a Group of Ministers (GoM) to examine the existing legal and institutional frameworks for dealing with matters of sexual harassment of women at the workplace.
About:
Mandate: To recommend, within 3 months of its constitution, measures for strengthening the existing legal and institutional frameworks for addressing issues related to sexual harassment at workplace.
Composition:
The GoM will be chaired by the Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh.
Its other Members are: Nitin Gadkari (Minister of Road Transport & Highways), Nirmala Sitharaman (Minister of Defence), Maneka Gandhi (Minister of Women & Child Development).
