Government has approved 122 new research projects under phase – 2 of IMPRINT Scheme with the aim of advancing research in the high education institutions.

IMPRINT stands for “Impacting Research INnovation and Technology”.
Launched in:
Scheme Objective: To advance research in the higher education institutions in the domains of Energy, Security, Healthcare, Advanced Materials, ICT and Security/Defence.
Parent ministry:
it is an initiative of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD).
Department of Science and Technology (DST) supports HRD ministry in implementing it.
Institutions involved: initially it was launched as Pan-IIT and IISc joint initiative. But now it is open for private higher education institutions too.
