INTEGRATED CHECK POST (ICP)

Prime Minister Narendra Modi shall inaugurate the Integrated Check Post of the Kartarpur Corridor at Dera Baba Nanak, Gurdaspur in Punjab on the 9th of November 2019. The inauguration of the ICP check post would facilitate, Indian Piligrims to visit to Gurudwara Kartapur Sahib in Pakistan.

About:

Facilities: ICPs house all regulatory agencies like Immigration, Customs, border security, etc. together with all support facilities like parking, warehousing, banking, hotels etc. in a single complex.
Objective: Rationale behind their establishment is to secure the country’s borders while facilitating legitimate trade and commerce.
Implementing agency: Land Ports Authority of India (LPAI).
