About:
- Objective: To revive the sports culture in India at the grass-root level by building a strong framework for all sports played in our country and establish India as a great sporting nation.
- It is an annual event. The first edition was held in 2018 in Delhi in which Haryana won 38 golds.
- 1000 players will be selected from Khelo India Games and will be given 5 Lakh rupees scholarship per year for the next 8 years.

- Khelo India Youth Games are being held between 9th January, 2019 to 20th January, 2019 in Pune, Maharashtra.
- During the 12-day event, over 9,000 Under-17 and Under-21 athletes from all parts of the country will compete in Eighteen disciplines including athletics, badminton, boxing hockey, football and wrestling.
'5 Minute Aur' challenge:
- Union Sports Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore launched a '5 Minute Aur' challenge as part of the Khelo India movement.
- Under this challenge, he urged India's leading athletes and actors to share their childhood stories when they would ask their parents to let them play for that five extra minutes.
- He tagged Virat Kohli, Saina Nehwal, Deepika Padukone and Salman Khan on twitter to share their stories.
