KOTRI BARRAGE

Recently Indus Commission meeting between India and Pakistan, it was decided that Pakistan will allow India to inspect the Kotri barrage in the lower Indus, while India will allow Pakistan to inspect the hydroelectric projects in the Jhelum river basin.

About:

  • Kotri Barrage is a barrage on the Indus River in the Sindh province of Pakistan.

  • The barrage was completed in 1955.

  • It is also known as the Ghulam Muhammad Barrage.
