Armies of India and Thailand began ‘Maitree 2018’, a two week-long joint military exercise with to enhance anti-terror cooperation and taking defence ties to a new level.

Exercise Maitree is a joint military exercise between Indian Army and Royal Thai Army.
It is an annual event with the last exercise being held in Himachal Pradesh in 2017.
The recent exercise will focus on sharing and enhancing skills in joint counter insurgency and counter terrorist operations under United Nations mandate.
