ONGC-owned Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) is planning to merge its subsidiary Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) with itself.
About:
MRPL, is an oil refinery set up in 1988 and is located at Katipalla, close to Mangalore, Karnataka.
In 2007, Government of India declared it as a
HPCL owns 17% stake in MRPL while its parent ONGC holds a majority 71.63% stake in the company.
