About Nanjarayan Bird Sanctuary:
- Location: It is a large shallow wetland in Tamil Nadu.
- It was repaired and restored by King Nanjarayan.
- It is centered on a fresh water lake, fed by Nallar River, a tributary of the Noyyal River.
- It is also a Ramsar site of International importance.
- It lies in the Central Asian Flyway.
