The London-based Financial Times reported that an Israeli spyware firm NSO has told its clients that it can scoop all user data from the servers of Apple, Google, Facebook, Amazon and Microsoft using Pegasus system.

What is it? Pegasus is spyware that can be installed on mobile devices. It is regarded as one of the "most sophisticated" smartphone spyware.
Working: Upon clicking on a malicious link on the device, Pegasus is capable of reading text messages, tracking calls, collecting passwords, tracing the location of the phone, accessing the target device's microphone and gathering information from apps.
Developed by: It has been developed by the Israeli cyberarms firm, NSO Group. However, NSO says it does not operate the Pegasus system, only licensing it to closely vetted government users “for the sole purpose of preventing or investigating serious crime including terrorism”.
