Union Cabinet Minister Ram Vilas Paswan died after a prolonged illness on 8 October 2020 at the age of 74.

Ram Vilas Paswan (1946 – 2020) was an Indian politician from Bihar and the Cabinet Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution in the NDA Government since 2014.
Paswan was also the president of the Lok Janshakti Party, eight-time Lok Sabha member and Rajya Sabha MP.
