World Sanskrit Day, also known as Vishvasamskritadinam, is an annual event aimed to promote revival and maintenance of Sanskrit.
It is celebrated on Shraavanapoornima, that is the Poornima day of the Shraavana month in the Hindu calendar. In the year 2020, this day is celebrated on August 03.
The Sanskrit organisation Samskrita Bharati is involved in promoting the day.
